Pray with and for The Ark Christian Youth Centre

Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful. – Colossians 4:2

As a Christian organization, it is a foundational belief that God guides The Ark’s work. He gives us wisdom in difficult situations and strengthens us in times of trouble. Prayer is at the beginning of what we do. We believe that God hears and answers our prayers. Please join us in prayer.

  • Pray for our program participants, community partners, volunteers, and staff as we serve in Jesus’ Name.
  • Pray for opportunities to share the hope found in the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.
  • Pray for the Ark to be a hub where the character of Jesus Christ is on display to our community.

Volunteer Work at The Ark Christian Youth Centre

Prayer Coordinator:
This position will assist the Ark by creating and sending out quarterly prayer guides to supporters of the ministry. This individual must demonstrate a life of prayer in order to lead in this capacity. The time commitment for this position would be minimal but would involve regular contact and communication with the Director to receive prayer requests to send out to the support base.

Coaches:
We are looking for dedicated coaches at all levels of sport to provide guidance and skills to our youth within our programs. In this role, you will have the opportunity to reflect Christ’s love to the youth through mentorship, interaction, and coaching.

Youth workers:
The Ark is in need of volunteers to help with supervising and mentoring youth that attend our Drop-in events. We are looking for committed leaders that desire to develop relationships with youth where they can share the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Concession Help:
Concession staff sells hot and cold drinks and snacks to participants and guests of our program activities. This position will require you to make coffee, work the cash register, and clean up the concession area at the end of the event.

Referee:
Refereeing is a rewarding challenge. Our sports leagues are in need of people to referee games on a weekly basis.
